The NLPOA is a Law Enforcement Nonprofit organization established in 1972 in California. The mission of the organization is to conduct community outreach and bridge the gap between Law Enforcement and members of the community. The organization was started by Hispanic Officers but is open for membership to any active or retired member of Law Enforcement and citizens who want to contribute to the organization by volunteering.
The NLPOA Louisiana Chapter was established in Kenner, Louisiana in April of 2021 by Retired Chief of Police, Jose’ A. Campuzano under the support and Direction of NLPOA National President Cindy Rodríguez.
The chapter meets once a month in Metairie, Louisiana and participates in many community outreach events throughout the Metropolitan Area.
